We founded Kid Republic in 2007, beautifully positioned in one of Wellington’s distinctive heritage buildings.  In 2009 we opened a second store situated in the heart of Newmarket’s fashion district.

Our passion for lasting quality and well designed children’s products and clothing saw us move away from the mass-produced and focus on quality and individuality.  Looking to revolutionise the market and allow children to explore their individual style.

At Kid Republic we are one big family, our staff and their children are testers for our products and ambassadors for our brands. 

Our stores are designed to optimise your shopping experience with beautifully displayed goods and age appropriate play areas. Our goal is to provide an all-inclusive shopping experience with passionate and experienced staff combined with unique and well designed clothing, accessories and footwear.
