Our Returns Policy

We understand that buying items online can be tricky.  We take our customer happiness seriously and want you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase. That's why we have a returns policy that allows you to exchange sale items or you may choose to receive a store credit for full-priced items.  Please note that we do not provide refunds and we do not provide store credit for sale items.

I've ordered the wrong size, colour or changed my mind - can I return it?

1. Full-priced items - Yes! but we must be contacted within 7 days of delivery to arrange either an exchange or store credit.  
2. Sale items -  Yes, but we must be contacted within 7 days of delivery and they may be exchanged only, we do not provide a credit – so please choose these carefully.
3. Clearance, Floor Model & Ordered-In items  – Are not returnable.
4. Due to hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept returns on breast pumps & accessories, underwear, swimwear, earrings, and hair accessories etc. 

Returned items must be in their original condition, unlaundered with labels & tags still attached, and with undamaged packaging, or they will not be accepted.  If the returned item is in a noticeably used condition, we may not accept your return.

Returns Process

Step 1
– Please email us at online@kidrepublic.co.nz advising your name, order number, item(s) you wish to return, and whether you would like a store credit or to exchange for other items (please advise us which items you wish to exchange for).  If your return is accepted, we will e-mail you back with a Returns Authorisation (RA) number.

Step 2 – After you receive your RA number, return your items within 7 days to:

Note that items returned to Kid Republic without a Returns Authorisation (RA) number will not be accepted and will be returned to you at your cost.  Returning an item to us is at your cost and the safe, undamaged return of any items is your responsibility.  We recommend tracking your returned products, as Kid Republic is not responsible for missing/damaged deliveries. 

Step 3 Exchange – If you wish to exchange your items, once we receive your returned parcel one of our team members will be in contact with you to arrange sending your replacement item(s) and payment for the return freight ($10). We will have taken your exchange item(s) from our stock, so they don't sell out in the meantime.  If your returned items were a higher price than the exchanged items, we will issue you a gift voucher for the difference, which may be redeemed online or in-store.

Step 3 Credit - If you choose to receive a store credit for your full-priced item, we will email you a gift voucher on receipt of your returned items, which may be redeemed online or in-store.  If the retained items in your order are under our freight-free limit ($100), then the credit issued will be less our standard freight fee ($10).   

Can I return or exchange items that I buy online at one of the physical Kid Republic stores?

Yes! You can exchange a sale item or return a full-priced item for exchange or credit (redeemable in-store only), provided the item meets our exchange policy.  You must present your proof of purchase, and return the item(s) within 7 days of receiving them.  

My purchase is faulty, how can I sort it?

Our Quality Control team inspect every delivery into Kid Republic to ensure that the products you receive meet our high quality standards. However, if you do receive a product that is faulty, please contact our dispatch team at online@kidrepublic.co.nz or by phone on 07 8344325 to arrange return delivery and a repair, exchange or refund (at Kid Republic's discretion). You may also take the product into any of our retail stores.  Kid Republic is committed to meeting its responsibilities under the Consumers Guarantees Act.
